Kitui Assembly Adopts The Majority leader’s Motion


Kitui County Assembly has adopted a motion which was sponsored by the House Majority leader Hon Peter Mwikya Kilonzo that seeks to suspend the house business, the COUNTY DIARY has learnt.

The Assembly on Tuesday approved the motion to suspend house business to enable members to work and familiarize themselves on their sectorial committees.

The house business will be suspended until 17th March to enable members to scrutinise and familiarise themselves with Kitui County Strategy Paper 2020/2021 and the Supplementary budget.

The motion was brought forward by Majority leader Peter Mwikya Kilonzo Tangawizi and supported by House Minority leader Hon Alex Nganga, and newly elected assembly Health Committee chairman Hon Kalumaita, local media reported today.
