Kitui County Executive Member for Agriculture, Water and Livestock Development Emmanuel Kisangau officially opened the ‘Farmer’s Field School community training’ (FFS) at the Coast Institute of Technology, Voi in Taita Taveta County , the COUNTY DIARY has learnt http://www.thecountydiary.co.ke
The training organised by NARIGP in partnership with County Government of Kitui is aiming to train more farmers who will later train other farmers in line with the four value chains under the NARIG Project which are; Mango farming, Ndengu farming, Honey (bee keeping) and Chicken farming.
The aim of the FFS training is to help in strengthening social capital at the local level, help build self-confidence in farmers and the schools can be a good platform for vulnerable farmers to come together for collective action.
