The Kitui Agricultural Show and Trade Fair 2023 has presented an invaluable opportunity for investors and exhibitors to showcase their products, interact with potential customers and investors besides gauging competition in the market.
This was affirmed by the CECM for Trade, Industry, MSMEs, Innovation and Cooperatives Rose Mutuku while addressing residents during the official closure of the three-day trade fair today.
She reiterated the County Government’s commitment towards operationalization of Kitui’s six Economic and Investment Zones( EIZs) to spur the county’s economy whilst transforming the livelihoods.
“We will collaborate with the National Government, County Ministries and other potential investors and stakeholders to realize the Industrialization agenda for the people of Kitui,” she said.
CEC Mutuku also highlighted the great milestones made by her Ministry in supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and the efforts geared towards creating a 24-hour economy.
This year’s show whose theme is Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Food and Nutrition Security and Economy Growth was a fulfilment of Governor Dr. Julius Malombe pledge to revive it after six-year hiatus.
