Why One Man should Stop Multimillion Kithomboani Market in Kitui

KITUI – A multi-million World Bank funded upscale three storey market project in Kitui might fail to see the light of the day if a bussinessman opposing a vacation order does not quit, COUNTY DIARY has learnt.

The project that is being implemented in partnership with the County Government of Kitui had given a sufficient vacation order to more than 56 bussinessmen who have already vacated their stalls to pave way for the mega project.

“We gave sufficient time (6 months) quit notice order as stipulated in the County Act but a capitalist trader who runs a store along the marked lane is being adamant and has gone to courts for an injunction to stop the project. This project is in the interest of public and must go on” said an official involved in the matter, speaking to COUNTY DIARY

The said unscrupulous businessman has failed to relocate his business from the area and has taken the Kitui County Government and it’s World Bank partners to court thus preventing the project progression.
