Kicotec to Manufacture Thousand pieces of Bee keeping Uniform


Kitui County Textile Centre has secured another tender from the NARIGP, world bank funded program of bee keeping in kitui.

Over 10 thousand pieces of bee keeping suits will be manufactured at the county textile center, kitui town.

The National Agricultural and Rural Inclusive Growth Project [NARIGP] is a Government of Kenya initiative funded by World Bank/ International Development Association [IDA].

The project development objective [PDO] is “to increase agricultural productivity and profitability of targeted rural communities in selected Counties. Like kitui among others.

Services to farmer and community organizations, Priority value chains to be supported under the project; Bee keeping, Modern abattoir in kitui and Ndengu farming.

Speaking at his office the trade and cooperative County Executive Member Mr. Philip Muno indicated that the county textile industry has continued to lobby for job opportunities and urged political leaders to support the county textile center.
