The re-opening of the entertainment joints after the closure some weeks ago has created a menace to the community ” ,Says Kericho MCA.
Speaking to our reporter, Kiasiara ward MCA Gilbert Ngetich said inorder to embarked in fighting the spread of the Corona virus the entertainment joints has to be closed to ensure the safety of citizens .
“Last weeek a 33 year old man high school teacher lost his life after his body was found lying down in a private drinking room in a bar in Chelal ,Roret trading centre in Bureti Sub County and the man is said to have died after consuming alcoholic drinks”,Ngetich said.
Ngetich said the measure which the government had put across by closure of entertainment joints was indeed a great idea to stop the spread of the covid-19 and safeguard the life of the citizens but now after this places were re-open many unreported deaths has occured due to consumption of alcoholic drinks .
“I urged the security personnel in charge of Roret to ensure all bars in Roret has been closed down inorder to safeguard the community from any disaster that may occur expecially the covid-19 disease mad also uncertain deaths”,Ngetich added.
He also called the residents to be vigilant, follow health directives and to report any suspecious case of covid-19.
