Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture Project “KCSAP” Officers Visits Kitui

A team of officers from Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture Project (KCSAP) today paid a courtesy call to the Chief Officer department of Agriculture and Livestock Development Mr. Songolo Mbii in his office at the county headquarters.

Headed by Mr James Singi, the team of three were on a visit to the county for an exchange programme to benchmark on National Agricultural Rural Inclusive Project (NARGIP) implementation then later on tap on the successes for integration in KCSAP.

The Chief Officer briefed the officers on the progress and successes of NARIG Projects in the county.

He said Kitui was lucky to be among the first 21 counties funded by the World Bank to issue CDDC cheques to NARIGP farmers and first to launch the Multi Community Investments activities.

Mr. Kasoi, the County Project Coordinator (CPC) took the officers through the strategies, processes and challenges faced in the implementation of the CDDC’s and Micro projects.

The two teams also discussed the management of political, community and technical interests, monitoring the systems and financial absorption systems in the Multi Community Investments activities.
