The KCHIC mass registration drive is expected to close today as County Ministers and Well-wishers rush to have orphans, widows, disabled and the seriously needy families covered.
- H.E Governor Charity Ngilu and her office have helped support 225 needy families in paying for the KCHIC cards. Madam Musangi herself was the 1st beneficiary.

In Kitui East, Kitui West and Kitui Central, the LIHUD Minister Eng Kakundi, the Chief of Staff Ileli , Trade CECM Philip Mumo and Town administrator Mr Meshack Nyenze have identified 100 needy cases that will be supported by the end of today.

The Ag.County Minister for Health Hon Katungi and his Chief Officer Dr Muthoka have by yesterday marshalled resources and helped 17 orphans, 9 blind persons and 21 other needy households secure the KCHIC registration.

SubCounty Administrators and Ward Administrators have reached several professionals in their respective territories as each Subcounty seeks to be the one with the highest number of registered KCHIC members by close of business today.
