Wiper Democratic Supremo HE Kalonzo Musyoka has come under sharp criticism from section of leaders and activists following the unpopular comments he made during his four days Wiper Tour in Coastal region, last week.
Hustler Nation Lower Eastern Chapter Secretary General and businessman Alfred Wendi has condemned the recent demeaning talk to Kamba’s gubernatorial ambitions in Taita-Taveta county.
Wiper leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka said that a Kamba should not vie for the gubernatorial seat in the county for it belongs to Taita and Taveta people.
Speaking during the burial of an upcoming footballer and Boda boda operator, late Elija Musee Musango at Ndui Village, Mathima in Kitui South Sub-county, Wendi reiterated that besides demeaning the Taita-Taveta Kamba gubernatorial aspirations, Kalonzo’s words also preached tribalism.
Wendi urged the former Vice President Kalonzo to desist from such utterances for its demeaning the Kamba hopefuls in the county and meant to spark tribal divisions.
He added that, the Kamba community can’t alone make him the the President, if voting on tribal lines was to be encouraged, the way he is doing.
“Kalonzo Musyoka’s words are demeaning and a breach to democracy and peaceful coexistence which should be highly discouraged” said Wendi
The businessman restated that DP William Ruto’s true patriotism, respect to democracy and tribal unity will make majority of Kenyans to overwhelmingly vote for him to become the next president in 2022.
