The former Vice President HE Dr Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and the country special Peace Envoy on Friday held talks with special United Nation representatives in Uganda.
Musyoka is in Official Tour in Uganda to broker peace and tranquillity in the neighbouring nation.
The wiper supremo held high level consultative meeting with the former Ugandan Special Envoy to South Sudan Amb. Betty Bigombe and British High Commissioner to Uganda H.E Kate Airey at the Serena Hotel, Kampala.
The leaders under leadership of Musyoka reached a consensus that in order for the peace process to unclog, there needs to be more input from all IGAD Heads of State.
“As immediate neighbours of South Sudan, Kenya and Uganda need to play a more proactive role in bringing together President Salva Kiir and his first Vice President Dr. Riak Machar in order to aid faster realization of the Revitalised -Agreement on the Resolutions of the Conflict in South Sudan, and in particular the unification of the two armies in order to entrench lasting peace,” Musyoka told Press.
