Ngilu welcomes more Micro Finance in Kitui County.
Governor Ngilu today called upon new Micro Finance Banks to extend investments in the county, citing that her government will continue supporting small and micro businesses.
Speaking during the opening of Faulu Micro Finance which is under UAP Old Mutual group, the governor encouraged Kitui people to support all micro finance institutions across the county that continue to be a source of capital for many emerging and successful business lot in the county.
Ngilu said the presence of Faulu and other micro finance institutions gives Kitui people opportunities to access finance with which they drive and promote their businesses.
She added that micro finance groups like Faulu play a key role in providing capital, through which many people acquire technology, increase productivity and lift the county out of poverty.
“I note that Faulu offers a unique blend of Banking and insurance services under one roof. Indeed, over the years, Faulu and UAP old Mutual group have facilated financing of premiums for medical covers and rehabilitation of health facilities that has boosted quality of Service, Your opening of the Kitui and Mwingi branch( which was opened on Mon 15th) is both strategic and timely for all of us” she said.
Faulu Board of Directors Dr Catherine Kimura extended her gratitude for the exemplary support that they continually get from Kitui people and promised to support the Governor in her several development frontiers among them Universal health care – which has registered over 80,000 house holds now.
She lauded the garment making factory which will be opened at Syongila as a top income generating plant and a profitable venture the county will pride in.
