Two youths from Kitui County are set to win the 254 Youth Entrepreneurship Award after making it to the finals, beating more than 400 entrants in 3 categories.
The County Diary therefore ake this opportunity to congratulate Joe Kioko and Joekev chicks Kenya team for their selection to the FINALISTS
Joe Kioko and Kelvin Wambua are youth from Kitui county who started a humble chicken ( improved kienyeji) farm at Mutitu were indoor in kitui East in 2017.
They researched on the best quality and efficient production, diversified from chicken rearing and marketing to consultancy services in innovative kienyeji chicken. Their awareness of the community won the hearts of many youth, women groups and individuals who have joined . The best example of youth innovative entrepreneurship in the entire ukambani region and a great win to our youth.
Celebrations are at KICC, Nairobi on the 29th of June. Please attend in large numbers to encourage the team. I humbly appeal to the minister of agriculture in kitui county to support the young innovators.
