It’s BBI all The Way, Says Mp Kaki Nyamai

Prolific Kitui South MP Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai has said Reiterated Her Support l for the BBI Task Force Report.

●She has called upon all Kenyans to support the BBI Task Force Report.

●She has said the BBI Report reflects the desire of a majority of Kenyans whose proposals were collected by the BBI steering committee in a national opinion gathering initiative.

● She has reiterated that the Building Bridges Initiative remains the only pathway to a better Kenya currently.

●The BBI Report was released by president Uhuru Kenyatta and former prime minister Raila Odinga in Kisii on Wednesday.

Some of the key proposals in the report are:

Increase resource allocation to counties from 15% to 35%.

Introduce a Ward. Development Fund (5% of County Govt Revenue) and ensure development trickles down to all wards.

Reduce taxes (and widen the tax base).
Review Hospital patient’s Charter and improve delivery of health services.
Enhance patriotism & respect of cultural diversity through a Responsibility Charter.

Provide for a 7-year tax holiday for all youth owned businesses in the country.

Prompt payment of Youth owned business transactions with the Government (within 60 days).

Mainstreaming of Youth programs through a proposed Youth Commission.
Ensure for continued fair representation in the National Assembly.

Ensure for a full gender parity in leadership.
Effective/efficient/swift prosecution of corruption cases.

Introduce better reforms for agriculture to benefit farmers at the ward level
