Kitui Governor Dr Julius Malombe (EGH) has challenged parents to invest in their children’s education to secure them a better future.
Julius Malombe (EGH) is among leaders who attended a thanksgiving ceremony and the Annual General Meeting at Matinyani Boys’ Secondary School in Kitui West Sub-county
The Governor is an alumnus of the school. While addressing a thanksgiving ceremony at St. Mathias Mulumba School (Matinyani Boys’ Secondary School), the Governor said education is key in making children grow into responsible citizens thus contributing to the county and country’s social economic growth.
Following the school’s stunning performance index of 9.94 in the pool 2022’s KCSE exams, the county chief lauded Board of Management, Teachers, Students and parents for their efforts towards making the institution a centre of excellence.
“I hail the Catholic Church for their role in the success of this school, I extend my appreciation to the parents, teachers, the board of management and the students for making extra efforts to realize this performance”. He said.
Further, Governor Malombe encouraged the learners to replicate the successful alumni who continue to raise the school’s profile over the years.
Mr Nicolas Mulila, the board chair person lauded the school fraternity for it’s stunning performance.
Malombe further said, The County Government will drill a borehole and support construction of a modern administration block at the school.
