Major multinational companies dealing in cooking LP gas have for the last two years lost more than 80 percent of their market share to small and medium-sized companies in Kenya.
The start-ups have been dislodging the big names, who have for years dominated the Cooking LP Gas as rural and urban customers turn to mid-sized companies who have proved reliable, available and customer friendly.
The cooking gas companies have literally taken over the liquefied petroleum gas “LPG” refilling business, both in urban and rural areas.
It is against this backdrop that our very own son of the soil from Mwingi, Kitui County, Mr Jackson Kimwele has invested in the business, buoyed by customers who demand reliability and safety as the first priority when it comes to cooking gas.
