The Interlocking Bricks technology Will Revolutionize Schools Infrastructure, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has said At KSSHA Conference in Mombasa.
This was said by the Chief Officer in the office of Governor Mr Kimanzi Zakayo while representing Governor of Kitui County Charity Kaluki Ngilu in gracing the closure of a 3 day conference of Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KSSHA) held at Reef Hotel Mombasa.
Speaking at the rendezvous, Kitui County Governor H.E Charity Ngilu said;
“I duly express my gratitude and applaud the leadership of schools especially their great performance in the last year’s exams. The steller performance was highly noticable in the entire Country” she said.
Observing that the performance was great despite the many challenges that interrupted the education programming due to COVID-19 pandemic, Ngilu called on the schools’ leadership to continue in the same modus operandi.
“I acknowledge the support received by the teachers in supporting the on-going industrialisation of the County including buying school uniforms and Non-phamecetical products from KICOTEC and Kitui pherm” she added.
On schools infrastructural upgrades, it is now noticible that the novel idea that utilises the use of interlocking bricks in construction of classes has reduced the cost by 30% and construction period by 60%.
On their part the Principals vowed to continue supporting H.E the Governor Ngilu in developing these industries to become national, international and East/ Central Africa icons.
