Politics is a game of thrones not a platform of hate, this are the words of Makueni Parliamentary aspirant Musoma as he woos Governor Kibwana to support former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.
The Makueni We Want Movement activist has promised to broker a truce between Prof. Kibwana and Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka after the former took a u-turn to support BBI constitutional bill.
“I want to personally congratulate our Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana for finally accepting that it’s the will of Ukambani people to support BBI.
“I ask you to continue listening to the voices you’ve constantly ignored especially a Kalonzo Musyoka Presidency in 2022 polls” said Musoma hours after Kibwana and him Machakos counter part held a joint press conference in support of the bill”.
He said supporting BBI offers Kibwana another lifetime opportunity to change his political trajectory and redeem his tinted political image. “Why don’t you just eat a humble pie and support Wiper? It earns you nothing but shame to oppose the person or party that saved your political career in 2017.
I can broker a handshake with Wiper Party Leader coz am in the middle of your political separation” he added.
His sentiments were echoed by the former Mbooni MP Kisoi Munyao who had visited the County Assembly of Makueni to lobby for the bill which has been passed this Super Tuesday. “I want to tell Governor Kibwana that he has taken an important step and cosquently ask all leaders from ukambani to come together support President uhuru to pass BBI.
Let us have a unity of purpose like other communities. There is no need to keep fighting amongest ourselves” said Kisoi.
According to Musoma Kibwana has been mislead by outsiders who want to tame Kalonzo’s Presidential bid in 2022.
The Makueni Governor who secured his second term on a Wiper ticket in 2017 resigned as party chairman two years ago citing differences with the Party Leadership.
Kibwana who led the Okoa Katiba initiative with Martha Karua and David Ndii has received more hate than praise for abandoning his cause. However he seems to find some rare admonition in his arch-rival’s heart if Musoma’s words are anything to go by.
