Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu is urging the residents of Kitui to continue adhering to the recent Health Ministry guidelines and directives to curb the spread of covid-19 in the country.
Keeping the social distance as advised by the Government must be taken with great utmost importance, Governor Ngilu said.
Ngilu was speaking live on Musyi Fm talk show through a phone call, hosted by Sir Mwenge Mwenge on Tuesday morning show.
The Governor said,
“If you came into contact with Father Maanzo who is currently at the national quarantine at Mbagathi Hospital, please don’t waste time, rush to the nearby hospital for Coronavirus Screening.
“Those people who came into contact with Father Maanzo should rush to our hospital in Kitui as quickly as possible for testing ~ Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu.
Adding that the people of Kitui are praying for the quick recovery of the father, Ngilu urged Kenyans to adhere to the dawn-to-dusk curfew imposed on Friday.
The curfew, pegged to last for the next 3 months is meant to restrict the movement of the masses in order to curb the spread of the virus.
