On Friday 15th, January, 2021 – IEBC official held a meeting to educate the Kitui Bunge la Wazalendo CBO members, the COUNTY DIARY has learnt.
Wise voting in choosing the political leaders is very important, a Kitui politician Charles Kyalo Muinde alias Kavaluku said. And he stressed the need for the civic education for Kenyans.
He asked Kenyans to elect credible leaders during the country’s 2022 general elections for their own good and for the good of Kenya as a country.
Muinde decried the rate at which corruption had ruined Kenya.
Muinde, who is also the Kitui Bunge la Wazalendo Community Based Organisation Chairman, was speaking during a civic education meeting organised for them (the CBO members) by the Kenya’s Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

The IEBC team had been led by the IEBC Kitui County Elections Manager Albert N. Gogo. About 200 participants were in attendance.
Muinde highly thanked the IEBC for civic educating them. On Kitui County, the CBO leader asked the local county executive and the county assembly members to end their leadership wrangles to serve the local people better.
He disclosed that the Kitui Bunge la Wazalendo CBO that was initiated in 2020 has a total of about 1,500 members from the entire county.
