Muthama Dismisses Wiper as ‘A Village Party!’
By PATRICK KIMANZISelf styled Kamba Kingpin Johnson Muthama Tuesday came out guns blazing thundering to all who cared to listen that he is a founder member of the Wiper party. The former Machakos Senator was responding to a ‘show cause letter’ authored by the top echelons of the Wiper Party who dispatched the letter last last week. The gemstone dealer and real estate magnate indicates in the letter that he is a founder member while the party was ODM-K before it changed to Wiper Democratic Movement.“It is wrong, wild and baseless to accuse me.
The accusations that I have been spreading malicious propaganda is wrong. If spreading propaganda is stating that Kalonzo had the audacity to nominate his son to Parliament for single consideration to the EALA then, which was a sign of personal sheer greed and disregard to the party and its members then I stand accused.” The letter read in part.
“That the party leader shamelessly nominated his sister in law Jane Muasya to Nairobi County Assembly as an MCA while ignoring merit and other qualified party members who were ready to go for the same position.
”Apologise to Makueni residents,Kibwana tells Kalonzo
According to the Former senator, if the above is classified as propaganda then he will quote it again and again.“I am deeply disappointed that a party founded on a great promise has since metamorphosized into an entity that serves the personal and family interests of the party leader.” Muthama in the letter added.
On the accusation of associating with other parties, Muthama said it is known that the party leader and senior party officials are the ones who have been making rounds, holding secret meetings while desperately seeking other parties to form unsubstantiated coalitions and handouts saying he is ready to provide evidence.
The vocal politicians added that he ceased being a NEC member when he withdrew from the Machakos senatorial contest. He notes in the letter that the bitterness is because he withdrew his support and that is why the party is facing hardships.“For clarity purposes, I physically left the party in 2017 and all I have been waiting for is such a letter.
In future don’t labour yourself in such on someone who has already exited the party physically and mentally.Muthama adds that his party shall field a presidential candidate and all other elective posts and will square it out with wiper in 2022.
Last week, Muthama in a TV interview dismissed Wiper as a village party. “How can I be part of a village party, by the time I left Wiper it had become a village party and that is why Kalonzo is quoted saying he would support Uhuru for the third term. I cannot be in a party that is not fielding a presidential candidate.”
