The Government of the Republic of Kenya through the Ministry of Health and Sanitation has invested heavily in training medical personnel and staff.

But, the demand for medical practitioners in the country is bigger than expected.

Distinguished urological surgeon in Kenya and the most sought after – Dr Joshua Matu has established a state-of-the-art Medical College of its kind in Kitui county and indeed in Kenya.

“Jordan Hospital Medical College is also sponsoring several needy students. This is part of our CSR because the health of the community comes first” said Dr Joshua.

Courses offered at the college are similar to those in the state-run colleges including the Government-owned KMTC colleges spread across the country.

Education is the most important weapon which can be used to change the future, Nelson Mandela once quipped.

The Medical Training College is Training various health disciplines in the health sector, to serve the local, regional and international markets, Dr Matu told COUNTY DIARY editor.

The Jordan Hospital Medical college comes at a time when the need for medical practitioners is at its peak in the country to address the emerging medical care needs amongst Kenyans.
