How Furious Uhuru Kicked Kalonzo Out of Presidential Coalition



Politics in Kenya is More than a dirty game, if want to remain clean, open your family church or Business and keep off Politics.

Kalonzo Musyoka’s scenario better explains this. At one point the Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s was a presidential candidate the next minute he had been shortchanged and he received overlapping threats of being kicked out of a coalition.

The former Vice President found himself in this scenario in the run up to the 2013 General Election where different politicians were scheming on who would serve right as a flag bearer of which party and coalition.

Reading through his book, it’s noticeable that Kalonzo is bitter of how his presidential aspiration was bruised by President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto after they shortchanged him.

In his book, the Wyper party leader narrates that he was to be the presidential candidate of the then G7 alliance. The alliance would also have Uhuru as the running mate while Ruto was to play the role of Majority leader in Parliament.

But all they had planned switched in one night when Uhuru informed him that he won’t be running as a Presidential candidate anymore.

The outright betrayal coaxed Kalonzo to leave the group and subsequently teamed up with ODM leader Raila Odinga, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula and together, they formed CORD coalition which eventually became Nasa.
