I have never supported Mike Sonko from the word go as the Governor of Nairobi.
During the campaigns, I totally rooted for the Kidero/Mueke bandwagon; to date’ but i must and say this without fear or favour:
Sonko’s arrest is political.
As much as we support the President and the Government on the fight against corruption, we must also urge the EACC and DDP offices not to be selective in this fight or apply double standards.
There is no room for double speak – not now!
It is clearly evident that some scandals which drained this country cash coffers are still fresh in our minds and yet the culprits are walking freely!
Why?
Look at the following sagas and scandal that have dominated headlines.
The multi-million NYS scandal, the SGR, Kimwarer, numerous maize and coffee scandals etc. The list is endless.
Billions of taxpayers disappeared and no one is bothered to arrest the looters.
We need more of the arrests: Let authorizaties concentrate on the real cartels and looters and keep political sideshows to minimum. Please!
