The people of this county elected me because i had a clear 5 pillar manifesto that i thought if well implemented would provide a paradigm shift realizing a positive impact on the peoples’ lives. Parents are struggling with school fees because we can not give out bursaries, which is in the Supplementary Budget, and it’s among other areas which will suffer the same! I will not succumb to blackmail, if you wish, let’s go back to the ballot and let Mwananchi decide.”_
Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu warned MCAs after the prolonged County Assembly’s pressure aiming at anti-development and their egocentric kind of leadership which she publicly stated she would succumb to.
She spoke yesterday at AIC Mwingi Township during the ordination of Rev. Bishop Timothy Kituo and his Assistant Rev. Bishop Nicodemus Kyuli who will be in charge of Mwingi area Church Council. The colourful ceremony was presided over by Rev. Dr. Silas Yego, the presiding Bishop AIC Kenya.
In attendance; Deputy Governor Dr. Wathe Nzau, Kitui Senator Enoch Kiio Wambua and his predecessor National Museums of Kenya Chairman David Musila, Mwingi Central Ward MCA Mary Philima and CECMs; Koki Musau Kuvasila-Tourism, David Kivoto-Education, John Makau-Environment among other leaders.
