Governor Ngilu Mourns Kenya’s Popular Educationist Kyale

    On Friday, November 13, 2020 – Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu joined others mourners at the laying to rest of Educationist Kyale Mwendwa.

    Speaking at Matinyani in Kitui West Constituency, the Governor praised Mzee Kyale for pioneering as Kenya’s First African Director of Education who laid the framework and values for education in post colonial Kenya.

    She mentioned the late as a man who believed in unity of the country Kenya and urged mourners and other Kenyans to emulate the fallen hero.

    President Kenyatta, in his speech read on his behalf by Governor Ngilu, eulogized Mzee Kyale as a talented man whose skills transformed different areas of Kenya’s development and growth.

    President Kenyatta described Mzee Kyale as a man who believed in creating opportunities for others and who was gifted with great entrepreneurial skills achieving great strides in education citing his passion.

    The President commended Mzee Kyale for having attained the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart of Kenya (E.G.H.) and the Order of the Burning Spear noting his great contribution to different sectors of the country’s growth.
