On Thursday April 1, 2021 – Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu met livestock traders from Kitui county for a consultative meeting ahead of launching of 10 trucks that will aid in the livestock trade.
Speaking while addressing the traders, Governor Ngilu apologized to the traders for delays in purchasing the trucks citing a case filled at the Anti-Corruption Commission, a case that has since been dismissed by the commission.
Further Governor Ngilu expressed her gratitude to the traders for their firm commitment in supporting the Government of the day.
“Amongst many things, I can’t fail to appreciate and thank you for your support….refusing to support your trade is the last thing I can do towards your empowerment.” She said.
Governor Ngilu was accompanied by trade and Cooperatives CeCM, Esther kilonzi, and Kyangwithya West Member of Assembly, Boniface Katumo.
