Ngomeni residents were treated to a flurry of development activities as Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe toured the area to commission key projects spearheaded by his administration. Among the highlights of the visit was the official opening of the newly renovated dining hall at Ngomeni Vocational Training Centre (VTC), a project that has transformed the facility into a modern, spacious, and learner-friendly environment. The Governor’s visit drew excitement from locals who described his leadership as results-oriented and people-centered.

The renovation of the dining hall is part of the county government’s wider initiative to revamp vocational training centres across Kitui County. Governor Malombe noted that such institutions are crucial in empowering young people through practical skills and technical education. He emphasized that his administration is committed to ensuring every ward has a vibrant and well-equipped VTC to nurture the talents of local youth and enhance their employability in a competitive job market.
