The County Government of Kitui is set construct a mega for thirsty Kanziku ward in Kitui south, sources privy to the project told COUNTY DIARY.
The construction of the mega dam is expected to start early next year.
This was disclosed by Chief Officer in charge of water, Mr Kiilu when he toured Kanziku Ward headquarters in Kitui South .
“In the company of the area Member of the County Assembly Hon Munuve, the high-level delegation visited the proposed site for a Mega-dam at Wavai stream near Kanziko town.
Subsequently, after solving the land ownership and agreements, dam designs will start next week and actual construction expected to begin early next year.
