As we usher in the New Year 2019, The county government wishes to reiterate her committed to the pledge of positively changing the lives of Kitui people.
According to Monitoring and Evaluation officer Bishop Kyavua, the county government has in the past one year lived up to its promise of lessening the pain and burden of Kitui people through key projects.
Bishop Kyavua cited the success of Kchic in lessening the pain of Kitui patients, the establishment of kicotec which has employed about 600 young people and provision of tractors and certified seeds in order to achieve food security.
“These and many others are testimony that Her Excellency governor Charity Ngilu is committed to change Kitui for better. For instance early this year the governor will launch cattle breeding synchronization programme” Kyavua said.
The officer noted that the county government has equipped all the 14 level 4 hospitals across the county.
He said there has been installation of diagnostic equipment in all the mentioned hospitals.
Going forward, Kyavua said the county executive is committed to establish a sound and respectable working relationship with the county assembly, saying it was now time to deliver services to the people but not politicking.
