Kitui Deputy Governor Dr. Wathe Nzau has called on the County Assembly to offer necessary support to the executive to ensure continued service delivery and development in the county.
Speaking at Mithikwani in Kitui West on Friday during the send off ceremony of the late Ruth Nzaliu Ndeto, relative of the chief officer in the office of Governor Madam MULEWA, Dr.Wathe expressed dissatisfaction on the County Assembly’s stance on budgetary issue terming the decision by the assembly to shoot down the supplementary budget as inappropriate.
The Deputy Governor said the county leadership was committed to develop the county and improve the lives of mwananchi.
“The MCAs play a key role in the running of county affairs and it’d be timely to reconsider their move for the sake of the county’s progress”. He said.
Others present in the sendoff event were the CECM for Public Service Management and Administration Ben Katungi and Chief Officer Education Agnetar Peter among others.
