President William Ruto on Wednesday hosted a delegation of political, business, women, and grassroots leaders from Kitui County, led by former Senator David Musila, at State House Nairobi.
The talks focused on ongoing and planned development projects in the county, with President Ruto reaffirming his administration’s commitment to accelerating growth and improving livelihoods across the country.
“We are marshalling the support of all Kenyans in our agenda to transform our country from Third World status to a prosperous nation that serves all citizens. Our programmes and policies are changing the lives and landscape of Kenya in many ways,” said President Ruto.
The meeting discussed key infrastructure and social development projects including road construction, establishment of fresh produce markets, construction of student hostels, affordable housing, and promotion of sustainable agriculture in Kitui County.
Mr. Musila and the Kitui leaders lauded the government’s ongoing initiatives and expressed their willingness to partner with the national administration in driving inclusive development and prosperity in the region.
