President William Ruto on Wednesday met a high-powered delegation from Kitui County led by former Senator David Musila at State House, Nairobi. The delegation comprised political, business, women, and grassroots leaders who held discussions with the President on key development priorities for the county.
Speaking during the meeting, President Ruto reiterated his government’s commitment to transforming Kenya’s economy and improving the quality of life for all citizens.
“We are marshalling the support of all Kenyans in our agenda to transform our country from Third World status to a prosperous nation that serves all citizens. Our programmes and policies are changing the lives and landscape of Kenya in many ways,” said President Ruto.
The discussions centered on several major projects underway in Kitui County, including the construction of key roads, establishment of fresh produce markets, building of students’ hostels, expansion of affordable housing, and promotion of sustainable agriculture.
Former Senator Musila and his team commended the President for the ongoing development efforts and assured him of their support in ensuring the successful implementation of the projects aimed at uplifting the livelihoods of Kitui residents.
The meeting underscored the government’s continued engagement with leaders from across the country to drive a united and inclusive development agenda.
