On Wednesday, June 9, 2021 – The county government of Kitui received a batch of 19,050 peps from the Equity group foundation.
Aimed at boosting the fight against COVID-19, this donation comes in the wake of a looming 4th wave that has since been positively identified in Kisumu county.
Speaking shortly after receiving the consignment, Health and Sanitation CeCM Dr Winnie Kitetu appreciated the kind gesture by the equity foundation.
She further urged Kitui residents to continue adhering to the COVID-19 protocols to avert any loss of life.
The Equity Group Foundation has been at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 with 100% of its social cooperate responsibility aimed at supporting public hospitals with fully set up isolation centres countrywide.
Also, the present was the Health and Sanitation Chief Officer, Dr Allan Owino, the Kitui Level IV Hospital Medical Superintendent, Dr Muviku and a host of departmental heads and staff.
