The Kitui CEC incharge of Health and Sanitation Dr Winnie Kitetu has encouraged Mutongoni residents to eat dried foods because they are more nutritious.
“I want to encourage everyone to start eating dried foods because nutrients in dried foods are easily absorbed by our bodies and helps one feel more energized for longer”, said Dr Kitetu.
Kitetu added that with longer energy in our bodies they assist one to remain emotional,mentally,physically and psychologically fit.
She spoke while handing over a weighing machine and speciliazed assorted pelling tools to Kitui West Horticulture Society,in Mutonguni ward.
The handing over of the machine and the speciliazed tools to the cooperative is in line with governor Charity Ngilu campaign pillar number five, on Wealth creation.
” I want to congratulate the leadership of Kitui West Horticulture Society for the excellence work their are doing, and supporting our governor desires’ to wealth creation among her people,”said Kitetu.
Speaking on behalf of the society Mr Mwavo Ngovi the chairman, thanked the county government for it’s support and assured the CEC for their support in all county government initiatives.
The CEC was accompanied by Dr Temi Mutia the value addition specialised in the county.
