


The fourth Building Bridges (BBI) consultative rally at Kitui stadium provided an opportunity for the Deputy Governor of Kitui Dr Wathe Nzau to shine on the national stage.
Kalonzo pours accolades on Wathe
While Governor Ngilu seems to be grooming her Deputy for the big assignment in future, it was the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka who poured and lavished accolades to the veterinary doctor at the rally.
“And I can not even begin to congratulate Kitui Deputy Governor Dr Wathe whose spirited fight against the locusts menance in Kitui has been inspiring. I have seen him on national TV on the ground with agriculture officials fighting locusts. This is not only inspiring but highly commendable” said Kalonzo.
Dr Wathe was tasked with a special duty; to receive special dignitaries on behalf of the Governor, which in rare cases doesn’t happen politically.
At Ithookwe Airstrip from 9 am, the Deputy Governor Dr wathe Nzau was commissioned by her boss the Governor Ngilu to wait and receive the Orange Democratic supremo the Rt Hon Raila Odinga while the Governor Ngilu was at the official resident preparing coffee for her special guests.
Dr Wathe in the company of the County Secretary Dr Joshua Chepchieng were at Kitui Airstrip to received Rt Hon Raila Odinga and Embu Governor H.E Wabora when they arrived to attend the 4th (BBI ) consultative Rally held at Kitui Stadium.
“The Move provided golden opportunity for Dr Wathe to shine and exchange pleasantries with top leaders in the country.
“According to the political analysts, Dr Muchari, the Governor Ngilu Might be grooming the deputy governor for the big assignment in Kitui, in the coming years.
