On Tuesday, 8th June, 2021 – Kitui Deputy Governor Dr Wathe Nzau challenged University students in the 3 Ukambani Counties, to take up Courses which can benefit the locals in exploiting the available resources, to help them increase their income, improve their livelihoods and more so improve the economy in that region.
Dr Wathe was speaking during a one day meeting, where he was invited to make closing remarks in a forum which brought together all University Student Leaders from South Eastern Kenya Economic Bloc(SEKEB), at an hotel in Kitui town today.
The students leaders who represented the Universities in Kitui, Makueni and Machakos Counties, established Lower Eastern University and Colleges Students Association (LEUCSA) and placed an interim office bearers.
The LEUCSA leaders, through their Chairperson Mr Johnson Mboya lauded the leadership of Governor Charity Ngilu by gifting her a passport portrait designed and drawn by one of talented student in Scott University.
