The Kitui CEC incharge of Health and Sanitation Dr Winnie Kitetu today led members of the Kitui County Public Service Board(CPSB) and some health officers to Mutomo Mission Hospital, to inspect the installed Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and CT scan at the facility.
The equipment installed at the facility aim to enhance and bring closer affordable healthcare services to Kitui South residents and her neighbourhood.
” The two equipment installed in this facility, have reduced the burden for our people going long distances to seek for this services,”said Kitetu.
After the inspection, the team joined nurses who have been contracted by Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB) for a one day induction workshop at Mutomo town.
Addressing the new employed nurses, the ministry boss, urged them to focus on better healthcare service delivery.
” As colleagues in the profession, i want to encourage you, to commit your energy toward offering the best healthcare services to our people. And let our services be guided by the ethics and principles governing the profession,” said Kitetu.
Further, the CEC thanked the governor for her dedication and commitment to healthcare and largely to maternal and child health care across the county.
