Dr Kitetu Bids Farewell to Retiring Nurses

The Kitui CEC incharge of health and sanitation Dr Winnie Kitetu joined Kitui County Referral Hospital health care workers in celebrating nurses who were retiring in a poppy and colourful farewell party in Kitui town.

During her address to the eight retiring nurses and the health care workers, the CEC emphasized to the retirees;

  1. When one invites God to walk with him or her, one becomes more agreeable, well organized, better, reliable and dependable to the society.

  2. There is loss of status immediately after retirement thus creating anxiety. But to mitigate this Kitetu urged the retirees to be comfortable in their skin, not to worry of where they are coming from and going to but to be proud of their current status.

  3. Encouraged the retirees to still maintain their normal routines ie take shower, keeping neat, reading and do exercise frequently among other activities.

  4. To grow more friends as much as possible because relationships is an investment and this is especially when the last born leaves the homestead.

  5. The retirees should take note of their emotional changes to avoid depression.

  6. Retirees should stay away from any major investment or project and if they have to, let them be short term investment or project.
