Kitui South Member of Parliament Dr Racheal kaki Nyamai is among the most vocal Members in parliament today, and number two in kitui county at the National assembly floor, the COUNTY DIARY has learnt.
A trained teacher surprised many when she defied the Wiper Democratic Party wave in her region to easily win the Kitui South parliamentary seat.

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has been her inspiration since she was in school. In her term of service she would like to push for an improved standard of education, adequate water, food security and equitable distribution of CDF in Kitui South.
The responsibility of the Mp is as follow:
Representation – Acts on your behalf on issues of concern to you & the nation.
Oversight – Controls budget, oversees the presidency, ministries and parastatals plus appointments.
Legislation – Develops or contributes to law making, NG-CDF – Runs the Constituency Development Fund.
