The destling of Muthamo Dam in Kangondi Location, Mutonguni ward to kick off .Through the office of our Area MP Hon. Edith Nyenze, MCA kiluma revealed that they have got the Funding from the European Union to desilt the Dam and do another works. .
The project is being done in partnership with the County Government of Kitui Under the leadership of H.E Dr Julius Malombe and the area MCA Hon. Kiluma, the public participation has completely been done.
The European Union is doing 87% funding and the remaining 13% will be pumped by the County Government. The project is worth Kshs 60M, The scope of the work includes desilting of the Dam, piping extension to Yalatani location, Kangii sub- location and Kangondi area , a treatment tank , fencing of the project..
Those present included, Area MP Hon. Edith Nyenze , CECM Mr. Nkunda water , Kitwasco MD Madam June, Sub- County Admi Mr. Solomon , Ward admin Madam Kalunda , Area Village admin, Madam Marion water Eng Kitui west, Area Chief Kangondi Location, Representative from Muthale Hospital, Representative from Muthale Girls School and local leaders.
“We are grateful for the project, it will serve a big population once brought into completion” MCA kiluma wrote on social media .
