The former kitui senator hon David Musila has moved to Cement Unity of purpose among leaders in Kitui county and Ukambani.
On Sunday, 29th January 2023 – leaders from Kitui converged in Mwingi West ABC Church for Sunday service fellowship and later a get-together for a conversation on the kind of leadership and development they should work towards .
The leaders present were former Makueni GOVERNOR hon professor Kivutha kibwana, PS Jonathan Mueka and leaders from all walks of life. the leaders unanimously agreed to work with the Government of the day and support president Dr. William Ruto and his government.
David Musila is ranked as the third most influential elder and leader whose respect is beyond the ukambani region, the TCD digital reports
The well-attended meeting aimed to bring leaders together was attended by UDA leaders, government officials, members of the kitui county assembly, business leaders, and opinion leaders drawn from kitui county.
Musila left the Wiper party in August last year after the contested party preliminaries and joined the jubilee party, – he was the jubilee governor candidate in kitui but lost to Governor Malombe of wiper party.
The powerful senator Musila who is known to command respect, later joined Kenya kwanza coalition a few days after the general election, he has been praised for trying to bring unity among UDA party adherence in Ukambani, he is a close associate of hon Johnson Muthama.
The former senator of Machakos hon Johnson Muthama did not attend the meeting but sent an apology, The CS hon Penina Malonza also sent an apology and asked leaders to continue moving unity of purpose for our people.
The UDA National Chairman hon Muthama who was away because of an official engagement on national Matters praised the meeting and called for more consultative meeting to bring everybody on board.
The senator tweeted.
” I was truly gratified to observe the unity demonstrated today by all Kamba leaders at Kangutheni ABC, Migwani Ward, Mwingi Sub county. Kudos former Governor Of Makueni Prof Kivutha Kibwana and Senator David Musila for leading from the front and showing other leaders that the heights we anticipated.
What we failed to reach yesterday can be achieved today and henceforth with a new climb. Truly, we are as strong as our weakest link” UDA boss tweeted.
