The cabinet secretary for tourism, wildlife and national heritage Hon Penina Malonza on Thursday Held discussions with Dr. Purity Kiura, the council member representing Kenya at the International Center for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM).
Present were representatives from the National Museums of Kenya (NMK) and other stakeholders, the TCD digital reported.
The discussions focused on promotion and preservation of our cultural heritage through training, information, research, cooperation and advocacy programmes.
Through the State Department for Culture and Heritage, ICCROM has been supportive in safeguarding Kenya’s heritage within our borders & beyond.
This partnership is key in growing and promoting Kenya’s untapped potential in cultural tourism, even as we work to diversify our tourism products
