
Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu on Monday presented samples of Textile non-pharmaceuticals made at Kitui County Textile Centre (KICOTEC), the COUNTY DIARY Reports.
The Governor held a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer for KEMSA Dr Jonah Manjari who was accompanied by Director Procurement Charles Juma today in Nairobi.
Kitui Garment textile centre is poised to make protective Gears to assist the fight on the pandemic, Kitui Governor Ngilu revealed.
Through her official social account, the governor wrote, “I held a meeting with the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) MD, where, I presented an assortment of products from our Kitui County Textile Centre (KICOTEC) among them face masks and other protective gear that we hope and believe will be crucial during this period of Covid 19 pandemic”.
We are seeking KEBS facilitation on the acquisition of the #StandardizationMark which is a mandatory mark for all locally manufactured products.
