COVID 19: MPS RESIST ANY SALARY PAY CUT ATTEMPT

As the country continues to tighten its belt to fight the corona pandemic, “Section of members of Parliament have resisted any attempt to subject themselves to salary pay cut, which is meant to aid the fight against the covid 19.

President of Kenya Uhuru kenyatta, last week urged government officials to voluntarily subject themselves for a salary pay cut, the move which was supported by his deputy president Dr. William Ruto.

The directives from the President have not gone well with a section of legislators, who said they will resist any attempt for a pay cut.

Meanwhile ministry of health and sanitation has denied the publication which appeared on one of the dailies that over 17 Mps are being quarantined after being Tasted positive of Covid 19.
