Controversial Jubilee vice chairman David Murathe has been summoned by Ethics and Anti-Corruption commission EACC over the reported KEMSA scandal that has continued hitting headlines recently.
This comes barely days after the politician claimed he was being victimized in the reported scam by the deputy president Dr William Samoei Ruto and allies over his tough political stand against their camp.
According to a report by the Star Newspaper, initial probe showed Murathe was a signatory of Kilig firm which is among the firms mentioned in the reported scam. The firm is accused of irregular acquisition of tender from KEMSA.
Murathe while appearing on Citizen TV recently, disowned the firm saying he was family friends with the owners of the said firm.He defended self and tried to drag the second in command’s name into the mess a move that backfired badly on him.
