Church Key in Supporting Country’s Leadership – Governor Charity Ngilu

Governor Charity Ngilu has called on the church leadership in the country to continue supporting the society and commit to nurture leadership and education, and assist in solving societal ills of the day.Addressing faithfuls at AIC Kitui Township today during the ordination of the new Area Bishop Joseph Muendo, the Governor said the church had played a significant role in providing a good leadership gesture in the country since independence.“Kenyans want and need change, including a change of leadership – good leadership- Without it, life seems nearly hopeless” she said.

Ngilu challenged the church to provide crucial support in engaging governments and other agencies to ensure the society grows in education, Christianity, order and leadership.She said she is working towards sustainable development to spur economic progress in the county and reiterated her resolve was to open doors for residents to write a new chapter in their lives and promote use of locally produced goods – noting the county’s new garment factory {KICOTEC} that has provided employment to hundreds of youths in the county.Other leaders present were Senator Enoch Wambua and area MP Makali Mulu.The event was graced by AIC Kenya Presiding Bishop his grace Rev. Silas Yego and attended by AIC leadership from across the country.
