Detectives in Makueni County are investigating circumstances under which a Catholic priest working in Machakos Diocese was found dead in a local lodging.
Fr. Stephen Kyalo Nzioki’s lifeless body was found today in a local lodging in Kilala Market , Kaiti Sub-County after police conducted a search , a container believed to have remains of a poisonous substance that he reportedly swallowed and a Red Label Whiskey bottle was recovered in his room.
Confirming the incident Makueni Sub-County Police Commander Timothy Maina, said the Catholic priest, who was attached to Makueni Parish, is believed to have ingested a poisonous susbtance last night at local lodging in Kilala Market , Makueni County.
