On Friday 18th, September 2020 – Kitui County Executive Committee Member for Tourism who also doubles as the CECM for Environment Patrick Musau handed over (5000) facemasks to Kitui Teachers’ Sacco Chairperson Augustus Munuve and C.E.O Florence Mutua at KICOTEC.
The CECM representing Governor Charity Ngilu said “She is fostering collaboration among stakeholders aiming at maximizing benefits and supporting the development of a sustainable economic future for Kitui County”.
Mr Musau thanked the Sacco for considering KICOTEC for the business saying that is a key step towards building the local economy.
Noting that the cost of living has gone through the roof, Companies are downsizing, with job losses becoming routine and unemployment almost at a tipping point, CECM Musau called on more parties to support the county through such partnerships and other development areas saying that will boost the local economy.
Kitui Teachers’ Sacco Chair Augustus Munuve said the organization was keen to support the factory though acquiring masks and lauded the county for initiating the growth of the manufacturing company.
