Building Bridges Initiative will Sort Out Historical Injustices -Ngilu

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has urged Kenyans to support the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) saying it would move the country forward and bring along equality and more resources to the grassroots.

” We are struggling with things that should have been done long time ago. BBI is a wake up call for all of us as Kenyans to retrace our path to prosperity,” said Governor Ngilu

Governor Ngilu further commended the ‘handshake’ between president Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga saying it was a good gesture that brought to an end the acrimony between leading political parties and resolved to the two leaders working together in addressing the problem Kenyans are facing today.

Governor Ngilu spoke this at Unoa grounds in Wote Makueni County, attending the BBI grassroots sensitatization forum organised by her Makueni Counterpart Governor Kivutha Kibwana.

She had led a similar forum in Kitui earlier on Monday, where the over 4,000 delegates drawn from the 40 wards in the county endorsed BBI.

The BBI Lower Eastern Chapter will be held on 1st February 2020, at Kitui Stadium, where national leaders are expected to grace the event.

She was accompanied by Governor Kivutha Kibwana and his Deputy Andelina Mwau, Machakos DG Eng. Francis Maliti who was representing Governor Alfred Mutua, who addressed the gathering through a teleconference call, and a host of MCAs from the three counties.
