Celebrating the life of
Bishop David N. Kalua and Learning from his landscaping passion.
Bishop David Kalua spent his life taking care of the plants that God created. For several decades from the year 1964. He worked with the Kenya Prisons Service as a gardens expert.
This work entailed tending to flowers and plants; ensuring that they contributed to splendid landscaping that refreshed spirits.
When he was born in 1937, his parents could never have imagined that he would rise to the highest ladder in his career. After all, he was born into a humble family in Eastern Kenya.
After his elementary school and much later training on landscaping and gardening which he received at The City park, he worked as a gardener in White settler farms in Central Province, at the All Saints Cathedral Church in Nairobi.
He later joined The Kenya Prisons Service where he rose to the position of Senior Sargent of Prisons Service.
Fare thee, Bishop David N. Kalua, you touched many lives, Shine all the way with angels.
